Frequently Asked Questions

RCIS (Remote Crew Information Screens) access ... ?

bullet

RCIS software is the property of Qantas Airways P/L and you as a crew member have been granted individually authorised secure use of /access to this software (the program &/or any data associated with the program) in accordance with Qantas' corporate & security policies.

This basically mean that you are required to ensure that your use of/access to this software is secure at all times. So, if you install this software on any PC other than your own personal equipment (e.g. internet cafe or Club PC) you must be able to ensure that no unauthorised person(s) have access to this software (the program &/or any data associated with the program). Obviously this is not possible and therefore you are in breach of the Qantas' policies and are liable to disciplinary action.

If you have any further question please contact your crew managers.

Why isn't there more Club internet computer ... ?

bullet

The short answer is that the club is basically unable to have access to locations/room in our respective slip port hotel FOC. or there is some other fiscally unviable reason. A good examples would be:  Bangkok - Where we have a 'crew room' but the cost of a phone line into the hotel & the cost reliable/fast internet in Bangkok was going to cost approx. $1000 AUD a month. Now things change and the Club's Committee is always redressing the situation(s) but individual members inquires and persistence is one of the Club's greatest recourses. So if you know any further information that would assist please Contact Us or submit a Suggestion.
